Natural Features The campground is situated on the banks of the Mad River, at an elevation of 1,621 feet. Ponderosa pines tower over the area, which also contains several open meadows that are great for wildflower viewing during the spring bloom season. Nearby Attractions The Mad River Trail provides 14 miles of hiking, biking, horseback, and motorcycle riding access to some of the most beautiful alpine settings the area has to offer. The campground sits close to hundreds of miles of multiple use trails that are easily accessible from nearby trailheads.
